A joint’s worth and popularity is usually judged by the number of customers it has at any given point of time, in an given day. Had gone here with a friend on a Friday afternoon, assuming less crowd, but were surprised to see the lower floor almost filled! The floor is divided into 4 seating sections – The Bar Area, the regular seating area, a lounge type setup with couches, and finally, tables with card activated taps. On top of that, these guys, and this is especially important news for all the draught beer lovers out there, these guys keep on changing their menu on a monthly basis, and have something amazing planned for Oktoberfest from what we’ve heard.
On being seated, we were presented with the 4 beers they had on stock for this month, and after tasting them we placed our order. For starters we had the Beer Battered Fish n Chips and Basil Chilli Chicken, accompanied with their in house Belgian Ale – Brewer’s Special. The Fish n Chips were the suggested food pairing, and it truly complemented the fruity & spicy flavor of the ale.
Since the beer and dishes we ordered, ensured we didn’t have much space left for the main course, we decided on directly going for dessert and we truly were left happy with that decision.
For dessert we ordered the Guey Chocolate Brownie, and
Austrian Chocolate Cake. The former was the right mix of sweet and salty, while the latter was one of the best desserts we have ever tried. The Chocolate Cake, literally melted in our mouth, and the Vanilla Ice Cream, ensured we could keep gorging on both those heaven in a plate desserts.
We finally ended our meal, with a quick discussion with one of their owners (Ashish Gupta), who had been regularly visiting our table to find out how we liked their dishes and beer, and took us on a tour of their in house brewery, explaining how the entire process happens.
It was truly a wonderful experience and as I have already suggested to my close friends, would definitely recommend this place for people looking for a quick bite, some fresh brewed beer and especially those with a sweet tooth to check this place out.
